Practice, Practice, Practice!

This idea came to me when I was writing the blog post, Age as an Asset in the Adoption of New Technology.  Bob Palmer was describing how he practiced using Zoom on family and friends before using it "live."  I am also a co-chair for a Working Group of the ABA ODR Task Force where we discussed the mediator's obligation to be competent with technology before using it with clients.  I believe technology developers should share in that obligation.  That caused me to think about how we might help a mediator practice with ADR Notable before using it in a live mediation.  Practicing on family and friends didn't seem practical, but then I recalled a mock mediation video that the Supreme Court of Ohio had created to help train mediators.

Thanks to help from two of our law student advisors, we put together the following set of videos that you can use for practice.   There is also a document that you can download for each one that will provide the information you need to set up the case in ADR Notable before watching the video.
